As a commission for Musarc and Do Disturb!, Palais de Tokyo I reworked the Feedback (2016) project that I developed with the extraordinary Elaine Mitchener. A choir are spread throughout the gallery space whilst in-ear feedback technology provides private, random directions to two ‘soloist’ beacons. These directions are then imitated and interpreted by the rest of the group, with text and musical material filling the space centrifugally. As the rate of instructions increase, it quickly becomes impossible to follow as both performer and audience member.
