Feedback is an ongoing collaboration with vocalist Elaine Mitchener. The work puts us both in direct opposition through a set of formal one-to-one setups. These range from interview-type situations to the more intensive arrangements of psychoanalysis and interrogation. In-ear feedback technology provides private, random directions to each performer, whilst allowing for moments of serendipitous synchronicity. These directions are constantly re-recorded and accumulate; quickly amassing into a dense set of instructions that are absolutely impossible to follow as both performer and audience member.
