Lumière Mystérieuse is a series of photographic prints produced during my residency at Sir John Soane's Museum (2023).
Soane was known for utilising light in innovative ways. In his home at Lincoln's Inn Fields he used a combination of coloured and stained glass alongside an array of apertures and reflective surfaces to create “a succession of fanciful effects, which constitute the poetry of architecture.” Along with my own overtures in the space, I was mirrored by a crow who opened a hole in one of Soane's original glass panels.
